Poet and Multilingual Translator (b 1971) has an MA and Ph.D in Hindi for his thesis titled “ Humanism in the poems of Kedarnath Singh and K .Satchidanandan – A comparative Study.” He has a poetry collection ( Dooram) in Malayalam. His poems has been translated into Hindi, English, Telugu and Odiya. He has published ghazals in Hindi and published articles on translation and Comparative Literature in Hindi.
Dr. Santosh translates post colonial literature in English, Hindi and Malayalam. He’s enriching Indian Literature by means of translation for the past 16 years .He has 8 books in Hindi and One in English in translation which includes Shuruateim (poetry of K Satchidanandan), Dehanthar (poetry of Savithri Rajeevan), , Samakaleen Malayalam Kahaniyam (Hindi translation of Malayalam stories) , Aligarh ka kaidi (short novel of Punathil Kunhabdullah.) and kavita ka girna ( Travel poems of K.Satchidanandan) His other translations are Shelter from the rain (English translation of Hindi poems of Ekant Srivastava) and Kavita ke Paksh Mein Nahin.( Hindi translation of Jayant Mahapatra’s poems ).
He is a regular contributor to Samakaleen Bhartiya Sahitya, Vagarth and Naya Gyanoday,Hindi journals of repute. His English translations have been published in Sarasa, Chandrabhagha, Indian Literature, Quest and ejournals viz Muse India, Pratilipi, Rahapen and Varnamala .He works as a Technical Officer with CIFT, Visakhapatnam.
He has received the 2004 “ Pandit Narayan Dev Puraskaar ” for Dehanthar by Rashtriya Hindi Sahitya Sammelan , Trivandrum and 2008 “ Dwivageesh Puraskaar ”( National Award for translation ) by Bhartiya Anuvad Parishad, New Delhi.
